Regional ITS Architecture
The AAMPO Regional ITS Architecture Document previously served as a roadmap for ITS systems deployment and integration within the AAMPO region. It has since become outdated, being adopted back in 2007. However, in 2020 the City of Ames developed its own Traffic Signal Master Plan, which contained a strategic six-phase deployment plan of a comprehensive intelligent transportation systems fiber network that will encompass the vast majority of Ames' signalized corridors and intersections. Shown below is the City of Ames' Traffic Signal Master Plan as well as the AAMPO's Regional ITS Architecture Document.
