Ames Area MPO

The Story County Transportation Collaboration (TC) includes representatives from groups and organizations that share an interest in reducing transportation barriers in the county. The group includes representatives from a number of organizations, human/health service agencies and transportation providers. The collaboration encourages all stakeholders to join this group. This includes those who are aware of transportation barriers and are interested in helping develop solutions.

Mission

The Story County Transportation Collaboration works to identify persistent and emerging transportation needs and to develop/strengthen partnerships to address them. It also seeks to educate the community about the transportation challenges Story County residents face and provide information/resources about the variety of transportation services available.

Schedule & Meeting Materials
The TC meets on the fourth Wednesday, on a quarterly basis unless otherwise needed, as stated on the dates listed below.  Meetings begin at 1:00 p.m. and have recently been conducted online.  If anyone would like to join the Transportation Collaboration group, attend a meeting or receive communication regarding transportation issues within Ames, please contact the United Way of Story County at 515-268-5142 or unitedway@uwstory.org.
