What is a Transportation Planning Work Program?
The AAMPO develops a Transportation Planning Work Program (TPWP) annually. The TPWP identifies work to be completed during the next one-year period by major activity and task. Included in the TPWP is the AAMPO's budget for the fiscal year.
Draft FY 2025 TPWP
Public comments are now being accepted on the Draft Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 TPWP until Tuesday, April 30th. Please submit comments by email to Kyle Thompson, Transportation Planner, at kyle.thompson@cityofames.org. A Public Input Session will also be held on April 1, 2024 (check the MPO’s calendar HERE for more information). Once approved, the FY 2025 TPWP will become effective on July 1, 2024. - March - Review of draft TPWP by the Transportation Technical and Policy Committees
- March - Public input session on draft TPWP
- April - Review of draft TPWP by Iowa DOT, FHWA, and FTA
- April - Draft TPWP open for public comments
- May - Final TPWP review
- May - Final TPWP Public Hearing/Approval
- July - TPWP becomes effective
